Orchids: Symbolize eternal love and beauty, often used in elegant tributes.
Gladioli: Represent strength of character and sincerity.
Appropriate Colours:
White, pastel, and purple are popular, often arranged in wreaths, sprays, or sheaves to convey sympathy.
If you want something more personal, select flowers that honor the deceased`s personality or favorite colors.
Designs:
Flowers that are going to a memorial or funeral service usually have larger flowers to create dramatic tributes.
Flowers that are going to the home are usually in containers such as boxes for ease of care.
Casket Sprays (Large arrangements) placed on top of the casket, usually chosen by immediate family.
Standing Tributes and Wreaths displayed on an easel near the casket.
Sheaves (Flat-backed bouquets) suitable for bringing to a service.
Hearts/Crosses and specific shapes representing love or religious devotion.
Key Considerations
Relationship - Close family typically sends larger tributes (casket sprays), while friends and colleagues may send wreaths, bouquets, or baskets.
Cultural/Religious Customs - While white is popular, some cultures prefer specific colors (e.g., chrysanthemums are common in Asian traditions).
Do you deliver to the funeral (Church or Cemetery)?
We do not deliver to the funeral, church service or cemetery. We currently deliver to all funeral providers in the areas we service.
When ordering flowers for the funeral, it is important to check which provider is conducting the services as flowers for the ceremony will need to be delivered a day in advance to the service provider. It will also save a heap of confusion as the provider will take the flowers to the ceremony site.
Do you do Custom Printed Ribbons?
Yes we do. We offer our in house custom ribbon printing.
Considerations:
Keep the wording short enough to fit the size wreath. If you wish to have a longer message, consider adding a card as well.
If you would prefer a message that is not in English, we will work with you to get the right message in almost any language.
How you want the ribbon placed on the wreath. A ribbon can be placed diagonally across the wreath (Western Style) or they can be draped from either side (Asian Culture)
